How do other civilized countries see us? What do other countries do that we don’t? Education is free or heavily subsidized. And wouldn’t a broadly educated populace be good for us? We have the highest cost and worst outcomes in health care, since we have to get health care through our employers. How many people have to stick with crappy jobs just to keep their coverage?

And how many crappy companies are propped up by this health care trap? Wouldn’t a healthier population be good for us all the way around? We have a $688 billion gap between estimated taxes and taxes that are paid. This is from non filing of taxes, underreporting of earnings and underpayments. Other countries have fixed this. Why can’t we? Why do we have the highest incarceration rate in the world?

We jail our citizens at four times the world average. Are we just full of bad people or are we intentionally creating victims? And if we really value families, then why don’t we have family leave? Early childhood education? Other countries do this. Why can’t we? America is not the greatest in the world anymore. But we can be. Take the democracy challenge.
